DST On-line Meet Entry Procedure
Note: depending on the speed of your computer and your type of internet service, this page may take longer than usual to fully load the many large images
Entering meets on-line is easy and convenient.
Step 1. When you open the on-line entry link, this is the first screen you will see. Use the first scroll box to select the swimmer's name. When you select the swimmer, the application can determine their age and gender.

This is the screen Corinne Lampe will see after selecting her name. Note: her USS identification number appears in brackets.

Step 2. Use the next scroll box to select the meet you wish to enter. Corinne has selected SWIM FEST 2006. Because the application finds the age and gender of the selected swimmer, when Corinne selects the meet, the screen will refresh and only the events she is eligible for will be listed. It is impossible to enter events for the wrong gender or age group.

Note the events that appear for Corinne indicate low age 13 and high age 99. This is because the SWIM FEST meet format offers events for the age group 13&O, rather than 13-14 or 15-19 as some other meets offer. Corinne was 15 for SWIM FEST 2006.
The image below shows the events offered at SWIM FEST for Jonathan Stuchlik. You can see from his USS ID number he was 9 years old for SWIM FEST 2006. The 10&U events say low age 0-high age 10. Notice only male events are listed, they are different from Corinne's choices (no 200s of strokes) and the 12&U 400 meter freestyle event also appears as low age 0-high age 12.
Sometimes meets offer events for the 9-10 age group specifically, but, also offer a distance freestyle or 400 IM for 12 &U or for Opens. A 9-10 year old would be offered all the events he/she is eligible for including, all the low age 9 - high age 10 events- AND either low age 0 - high age 12 events for 12&U events or low age 0 - high age 99 for Open events. All swimmers, regardless of age, will be offered Open events when available, in addition to age-group specific events.
Step 3. Check off the events you wish to enter. Each time you select an event, the screen will refresh and update your event count and total cost at the bottom. Corinne has selected 5 freestyle events at SWIM FEST. Her event count appears as 5 with a fee per event of $3.00. There is an additional $3.00 administrative fee for this meet, so her total cost for SWIM FEST is $18.00.

Step 4. Click button to continue to payment page. The screen will refresh and allow you to verify all the events you selected (in scroll box) and the total cost incurred. This is also where you will input payment information. On the screen image below, note Corinne's 5 freestyle events she selected appear in the scroll box. (There is no scroll bar because all 5 fit in the box. If there had been 6 or more, a scroll bar would appear for viewing all of them.)
The verification screen also contains blank fields where you must submit payment information.

Step 5. On the verification screen, input your payee information and click the submit payment button at the bottom of the page. Enter you name, address, phone number, email and credit card information. The address you enter must match the address listed on your credit card account. All input information will be saved, so that you need not enter it more than once during the season, EXCEPT the credit card information. For the purposes of this demonstration, a dummy email address and credit card number were used. Your credit card information will be directed to a secure payment site operated by PayPal. Your credit card information will not be accessible to the DST office, Boosters or any one else.

Step 6. View your receipt. After processing your payment information, the screen will refresh to a page showing the events you entered and the payment received. You should print this page for your records, but you will also get an email confirmation of your entries and payment received.
